New Ad Builds Excitement for Chevy Silverado EV Truck

Here at Dave Kehl Chevrolet, we were already getting excited about the upcoming 2024 Silverado EV — and a new television ad spot has only increased our anticipation for this all-new electric truck.

Chevrolet’s “New Generation” commercial stars the Silverado EV and a couple of surprise guests — actors Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Robert Iler from “The Sopranos,” the beloved classic TV series about mob boss Tony Soprano and his family.

In the commercial, Sigler and Iler can be seen in their roles as Soprano’s children Meadow and A.J. The ad reprises the show’s iconic opening credits, except this time around it’s Sigler driving through the New Jersey suburbs behind the wheel of the Silverado EV.

Throughout the commercial, we get to see some of the Silverado EV’s coolest features, including its available 24-inch wheels and Four Wheel Steer capabilities, its 17-inch display screen, and its fixed glass roof. At the end, Sigler connects the truck to a charger to top off its estimated 400 miles of driving range.[1] Using a 350kW fast charger, the truck can add up to 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes according to GM estimates.

The 2024 Silverado EV will be available starting next spring. Initially, it will be offered in WT and RST First Edition trims, with additional models to follow.

Chevrolet Announces All-Electric Silverado for 2023

Chevy has announced that an all-electric Silverado pickup truck will debut for the 2023 model year. Very little has been announced so far about the Silverado EV, but Chevy says the truck will have a General Motors-estimated range of over 400 miles on a full charge.

The Chevrolet Silverado electric truck will be made in America at the Factory ZERO assembly plant in Hamtramck, Michigan. The Silverado EV will be built using the Ultium Platform for electric vehicles, which allows battery cells to be stacked in different formations depending on the vehicle’s dimensions. Ultium batteries are designed to accommodate fast acceleration, high levels of performance, and four-wheel-drive capabilities.

Car and Driver speculates that the Silverado EV could get up to 1,000 horsepower, making it one of the most powerful trucks ever made. C&D also thinks it’s likely the Silverado EV will come standard with all-wheel drive, which means it’ll be plenty rugged, too.

Chevrolet and General Motors are committed to making all-electric vehicles the norm, and a high-powered, intelligent Silverado should be just what the doctor ordered. We can’t wait to tell you more about the all-electric Chevrolet Silverado when the details drop — and to bring it to you when it becomes available.

Until then, if you need a reliable, durable truck, look no further than Dave Kehl Chevrolet. We have the new 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 in stock and ready to test drive.
