The Chevy Silverado ZR2 Bison Is a Lean, Mean Off-Road Machine

Ready for Chevy’s toughest off-road truck yet? Loaded with specialized all-terrain features developed with the help of American Expedition Vehicles, the 2023 Silverado ZR2 Bison is coming soon to Dave Kehl Chevrolet.

The ZR2 Bison takes what’s special about the just-released Silverado ZR2 and sends it to the next level. With this model’s AEV-stamped steel bumpers, five hot-stamped boron steel skid plates underneath the body, and steel rocker panel protectors, you can venture just about anywhere with total confidence.

Making the ZR2 Bison even more capable and useful, the bumpers come with heavy-duty recovery points and integrated step pads, plus black tow hooks for the front. The truck rides on gloss black 18-inch AEV wheels wrapped in 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory® MT tires.

An exterior Bison decal, a body-color grille bar, and black matte-finished tailgate help the ZR2 Bison stand out from the crowd, and the interior shows off AEV badging on the headrests and floor liners.

Just like the regular ZR2, the ZR2 Bison comes equipped with 11.2 inches of ground clearance, a specially tuned suspension, Multimatic DSSV™ dampers, and front and rear e-locking differentials. Under the hood, there’s a 6.2-liter V8 engine that cranks out a mighty 420 horsepower.

We’re expecting the Silverado ZR2 Bison to arrive early next year, but you can contact us now to learn more about how to purchase this exciting new truck here at Dave Kehl Chevrolet in Mechanicsburg, Ohio.

5 Cool Corvette Facts You May Not Know About

With its distinctive style and its firm place in our national consciousness as the quintessential American sports car, the Corvette is one of the most recognizable cars on the road. But the Corvette has had a long and fascinating history which may be less well known. These are five cool Corvette facts you might not know about.

  1. Originally, the Corvette’s logo crossed a racing flag with an American flag. This was changed due to laws restricting the commercial use of the US flag, which brought us the logo we all know and love today.
  2. Although there’s nothing quite as iconic now as a sleek red Corvette, when the car first launched it was only available with white paint. The interior upholstery was red, though.
  3. Another quirk of the original 1953 Corvette is that it had no exterior door handles. This wasn’t really a problem, thanks to them all being convertibles, but they also had no heater or AM radio. Luckily, both of these were available as add-ons.
  4. The Corvette Stingray’s distinctive shape was first inspired by a real shark. Designer Bill Mitchell was out deep-sea fishing when he caught a mako shark and decided to use its shape as the basis for the new Corvette’s body lines.
  5. The Corvette has been in continuous production longer than any other passenger car has. It’s only fitting for America’s favorite sports car.

It’s easy to find cool Corvette facts because the Corvette is quite simply one of the coolest cars around. Visit Dave Kehl Chevrolet in Mechanicsburg, Ohio, for a closer look at the mid-engine Corvette C8!

Best 2022 Chevrolet Trucks for Summer Adventure

Chevy trucks make great companions for rough excursions. Here are a few 2022 Chevrolet trucks that make off-road adventures more fun as you explore more of Ohio this summer.

2022 Chevrolet Colorado Z71

Equipped with a punchy 3.6-liter V6 engine under the hood, the Colorado Z71 makes a great choice if you want a smaller off-road vehicle that still holds its own on the trails. The Z71 Off-Road Suspension Package, automatic locking rear differential, transfer case shield, and HD Rear Vision Camera are just some of the elements that will help you feel poised and prepared when you venture off the beaten path.

2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTD Trail Boss

The Silverado 1500 LTD Trail Boss borrows the Colorado Z71’s suspension package, while incorporating an Autotrac® 2-speed transfer case. The 2-inch factory suspension lift gives this truck more height so you can see a bit farther down the trail you’re traversing. Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac® tires boost traction when the road is messy while a remote vehicle starter system lends convenience when you’re off-roading on one of Ohio’s chillier days.

2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2

Chevy designed the Silverado ZR2 to appease Colorado Z71 fans who wanted something a bit bigger and brawnier. This trim jives with an outdoorsy lifestyle and makes off-roading a breeze. The 6.2-liter V8 translates to 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque for an energetic ride quality. The 10-speed automatic transmission with Electronic Transmission Range Selector means smoother gear shifts and more customized performance when you need it. 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory® Mud Terrain tires give the truck more grip on slick or slushy terrain, while large underbody skid plates shield the undercarriage from scratches as you blaze new trails and kick up some debris. Technology Spotlight: What is Super Cruise™?

Chevrolet trucks aren’t just stylish and capable. They also have some of the most advanced technologies on the market —like Super Cruise™. New on the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country — available now at Dave Kehl Chevrolet in Mechanicsburg, Ohio — Super Cruise™ offers a new and exciting way to enjoy the ride.

Super Cruise™ is a semi-autonomous driving tool that relies on a network of cameras and a high-precision map, as well as GPS sensing and GPS-enhanced data. It works in tandem with Adaptive Cruise Control to operate the vehicle safely and effectively in a variety of traffic conditions. Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking and Lane-Centering are also part of Super Cruise™, to further boost passenger safety during your travels.

Like with other semi-autonomous technologies, Super Cruise™ does require some human involvement. The Driver Attention System monitors the driver’s head position during a trip and, when manual steering is essential, it alerts the driver to take the wheel.

When planning a trip with a Super Cruise™-equipped Silverado High Country, you get the assurance of a vast network of Super Cruise™-compatible roads. There are more than 200,000 miles of roads in the U.S. and Canada alone. You can also use it when towing a trailer with your High Country.

The best way to find out what Super Cruise™ does is to experience it hands-on … or off, as it were. Contact the team at Dave Kehl Chevrolet to set up a test drive in a new 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country and see how Chevy keeps finding new roads for making driving exciting.

New Ad Builds Excitement for Chevy Silverado EV Truck

Here at Dave Kehl Chevrolet, we were already getting excited about the upcoming 2024 Silverado EV — and a new television ad spot has only increased our anticipation for this all-new electric truck.

Chevrolet’s “New Generation” commercial stars the Silverado EV and a couple of surprise guests — actors Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Robert Iler from “The Sopranos,” the beloved classic TV series about mob boss Tony Soprano and his family.

In the commercial, Sigler and Iler can be seen in their roles as Soprano’s children Meadow and A.J. The ad reprises the show’s iconic opening credits, except this time around it’s Sigler driving through the New Jersey suburbs behind the wheel of the Silverado EV.

Throughout the commercial, we get to see some of the Silverado EV’s coolest features, including its available 24-inch wheels and Four Wheel Steer capabilities, its 17-inch display screen, and its fixed glass roof. At the end, Sigler connects the truck to a charger to top off its estimated 400 miles of driving range.[1] Using a 350kW fast charger, the truck can add up to 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes according to GM estimates.

The 2024 Silverado EV will be available starting next spring. Initially, it will be offered in WT and RST First Edition trims, with additional models to follow.

Meet the All-New 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV

The game has officially changed, and Chevy is leading the way. Chevrolet unveiled the 2024 Silverado EV this month, taking the popular pickup into a bold new era. This fully electric pickup truck boasts the power and capability that have made the Silverado a household name — all while offering zero emissions and incredible range.

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV will start off with two trim levels: WT and RST. The WT model boasts 510 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque, making it more powerful than any Silverado 1500 available today.

The Silverado EV RST kicks things up a notch with up to 664 horsepower and over 780 lb-ft of torque thanks to Wide Open Watts Mode.[1] This empowers the RST to rocket from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds, which means it’s the quickest Silverado ever made.

And all that power can of course be used to get tough jobs done. The Silverado EV RST is estimated to deliver up to 10,000 pounds of max towing capacity.[2] Chevy estimates that a 2025 model-year version of the WT will double that with up to 20,000 pounds of towing power.[3]

In addition to delivering plenty of power, the Silverado EV will free you from frequent fill-ups at the pump. General Motors expects this groundbreaking truck to deliver up to 400 miles of range when fully charged.[4] And when it’s time to recharge, the Silverado EV offers standard DC fast-charging capabilities that can allow you to recover a GM-estimated 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes.

If you’re ready to go boldly into a better tomorrow, you can reserve your 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV now. Got questions or want to know more about the upcoming 2022 Silverado 1500? Contact the experts at Dave Kehl Chevrolet in Mechanicsburg, Ohio.
