New Ad Builds Excitement for Chevy Silverado EV Truck

Here at Dave Kehl Chevrolet, we were already getting excited about the upcoming 2024 Silverado EV — and a new television ad spot has only increased our anticipation for this all-new electric truck.

Chevrolet’s “New Generation” commercial stars the Silverado EV and a couple of surprise guests — actors Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Robert Iler from “The Sopranos,” the beloved classic TV series about mob boss Tony Soprano and his family.

In the commercial, Sigler and Iler can be seen in their roles as Soprano’s children Meadow and A.J. The ad reprises the show’s iconic opening credits, except this time around it’s Sigler driving through the New Jersey suburbs behind the wheel of the Silverado EV.

Throughout the commercial, we get to see some of the Silverado EV’s coolest features, including its available 24-inch wheels and Four Wheel Steer capabilities, its 17-inch display screen, and its fixed glass roof. At the end, Sigler connects the truck to a charger to top off its estimated 400 miles of driving range.[1] Using a 350kW fast charger, the truck can add up to 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes according to GM estimates.

The 2024 Silverado EV will be available starting next spring. Initially, it will be offered in WT and RST First Edition trims, with additional models to follow.

Meet the All-New 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV

The game has officially changed, and Chevy is leading the way. Chevrolet unveiled the 2024 Silverado EV this month, taking the popular pickup into a bold new era. This fully electric pickup truck boasts the power and capability that have made the Silverado a household name — all while offering zero emissions and incredible range.

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV will start off with two trim levels: WT and RST. The WT model boasts 510 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque, making it more powerful than any Silverado 1500 available today.

The Silverado EV RST kicks things up a notch with up to 664 horsepower and over 780 lb-ft of torque thanks to Wide Open Watts Mode.[1] This empowers the RST to rocket from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds, which means it’s the quickest Silverado ever made.

And all that power can of course be used to get tough jobs done. The Silverado EV RST is estimated to deliver up to 10,000 pounds of max towing capacity.[2] Chevy estimates that a 2025 model-year version of the WT will double that with up to 20,000 pounds of towing power.[3]

In addition to delivering plenty of power, the Silverado EV will free you from frequent fill-ups at the pump. General Motors expects this groundbreaking truck to deliver up to 400 miles of range when fully charged.[4] And when it’s time to recharge, the Silverado EV offers standard DC fast-charging capabilities that can allow you to recover a GM-estimated 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes.

If you’re ready to go boldly into a better tomorrow, you can reserve your 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV now. Got questions or want to know more about the upcoming 2022 Silverado 1500? Contact the experts at Dave Kehl Chevrolet in Mechanicsburg, Ohio.

Fall Maintenance for Your Truck

Fall means pumpkin patches and falling leaves, but it also means it’s time for seasonal maintenance for your truck. Prepare your truck for autumn and cooler weather with these basic maintenance tips.

Inspect car battery

Make sure the cables of your car battery are tightly connected and clean. If you notice signs of corrosion, disconnect the cables and terminals and clean them.

Rotate tires

Maximize the mileage on your truck tires by rotating the tires and checking the tread to see if you need to replace them. Consider purchasing winter tires to increase your truck’s traction on snowy roads around Mechanicsburg this winter.

Change oil

New oil prevents your engine from overheating and keeps your engine parts lubricated. Bring your truck into Dave Kehl Chevrolet for your regular oil change and seasonal maintenance. Check your owner’s manual to see when you should bring your Chevy truck in for an oil change.

Restore headlights

During fall, it will start getting darker sooner. That means it’s important to have clear night vision. Clouded lenses can reduce the effectiveness of your headlights at night. If your headlights are becoming cloudy or hazy, restore your headlights with a headlight restoration kit.

Wash car

Clean off the summer bugs and prepare for the snowy grime with a good car wash. Washing and waxing your truck can protect the paint and body while making it look fresh and new.

Staying up to date on fall maintenance will keep your truck ready for whatever lies on the road ahead. To get there, stop into Dave Kehl Chevrolet in Mechanicsburg, Ohio, and we’ll take care of your service needs.

How To Get The Most Value Out Of Your Trade-In

Trading in your old vehicle to get a better deal on your new one is a quick, simple way to save money, and it has tons of benefits. For instance, your trade-in value brings down the pre-tax price of a new truck at Dave Kehl Chevrolet, which means you’ll pay fewer taxes as well as a lower price. If you want to maximize your current ride’s trade-in value, here are a few steps you can take to get the most out of it.

Find out your car’s value

One thing that will help you get the price for your trade-in is knowing exactly what it’s worth. Look at resources like Kelley Blue Book to get an estimation of its value, then get quotes on how much your car would sell for online.

Do a deep clean and make repairs

If your car looks clean and is in good shape, you’ll most likely get a better price than if it’s dirty and has mechanical issues. Don’t spend a ton of money on mechanical repairs, but minor affordable ones can help you to get the most trade-in value.

2022 Chevrolet Silverado HD Adding Multi-Flex Tailgate

That’s why it’s introducing its awesome six-function Multi-Flex Tailgate for the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado HD, available soon at Dave Kehl Chevrolet in Mechanicsburg, Ohio.
